Normand Martin came to California in 1971 from New Hampshire with a love for Nature and an interest in wood.  For over thirty years, he has taken deadfall and used a wood lathe to create exquisite vases from different species of trees. Selling his work on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in 1994, he met Rene’ who had taken a summer job in a wood gallery in Kings Beach known as Timeless Sculptures.  Surrounded by a three dimensional world, this couple began to collaborate with Mother Nature while hiking the beautiful terrain surrounding the most beautiful place on earth. It was a match made in Heaven. The Martin Wood gallery celebrates our 11th anniversary creating extraordinary pieces of wildlife art to make your mountain retreat a warm and rustic home to cherish for generations.
